Aaghaaz Fashion Show - Talent Asia Competition Aug. 2002
Fashions have long been the hallmark of the few and it took courage and the tenacity to assemble a host of designers and Oomar made this a dream come true for all of the SE Asian designers. They came from far and wide, Dallas, London, New Jersey and filled the auditorium at the Madison Square Gardens. New York City is unique for mega events that consume high-voltage energy to make the insignificance of an event quite well transformed to a historical measure of success for not just Oomar but for those who are the organizers of this show, Milly, Oomar, Hamzaa and others.
The fashion show depicted all of the splendors that enmeshed colors, styles, of the East and West, a blend that is akin to an evolution or a renaissance in the SE Asian minds and hearts. Many hearts and minds were captured by the various nuances of fashion fit for a bride and only the designers such as Asif, Alia to name a few, presented their collection that made every woman a bride-in-waiting.
