Young Artists in the making...

Azerbaijan with a tumultuous  and frenzied past where bullets and massacres were the norm has now emerged as a post-Soviet country with a rich cultural history. The rich heritage is inlaid with the traditional customs where education, fine arts, dance, music are the foundations of this country in its infancy. Its independence was sought after the break-up of the Soviet empire and now the flourishing of politics, oil, the influx of many businesses into this oil-rich country is creating a link to the West and a desire to be popular with the world at large.

A segment of Azeris as they are known in the US are now a minority and slowly blending into the population of the Americans. There are many who are desirous of becoming a part of this America and yet have this rich umbilical link into their motherland where a taste of all that is nostalgic come alive with the new genre of young talented youth coming to New York to display their costumes, dances, music, songs and above all their gift of warmth to all their friends who come to see them.
