Renee Lobo has long been a media specialist who has made her career flourish through the constant flotsam-jetsam of personalities which would humble Christiane Amanpour for the given schedule Renee goes through. Her debut into politics as a Congresswoman from Forest Hills, Queens, NY is laden with bricks and stones, hurdles and pot-holes. No ambitious individual's life has been a bed or roses. It is her innate desire to serve the people by bringing the issues of citizens to light and address them. If you have noticed AVS on the Indian TV channels you would find her interviewing some of the major personalities of Bollywood and yet is quite capable of understanding the whims of the city and what their outlooks are. Politicians are not made but born. Renee is now seeking to make it to the top and it is possible if the community is able to understand this young and articulate entrant with all the fervor and gusto to bring out the best in New York. It is only a small step for Renee but a big leap for Asian women in the politics of the United States.
